Picassos:  

18 Mos. to 2½ yrs

For many children, this will be their first experience with paint, glue, markers & dough. The class focuses on sensory exploration and discovering how things feel and work. Children will learn about form, texture, color & shape names. We end each class with a short story time.

Monets:   
2 1/2 - almost 4 years

1 Hour

We do more exploring through our sense of touch. We use a wider variety of materials. Children discover the joy of creative expression by using a variety of paint media and collage materials. We end each class with a short story time.

Rembrandts:  

Family Class 

2 - 4 years

Does your older child wonder about all the fun his/her sibling is having at The Messy Artist? Here's a chance for all your toddlers, preschoolers and kindergartners to have fun together. We'll all make a creative mess and learn art techniques along the way. You may join this class with one or more children.

Chagalls:   

3 - 5 years

We learn more in depth painting, gluing and sculptural techniques.  We begin to learn about patterns design and symmetry.  At this age we love the messy stuff even more!  We learn by feeling different textures and mixing up many of our own concoctions.  Art, science, reading, and math skills are all incorporated into this fun experiential class.

Storybook Art:    

Pre K - K, Must be in last year of Pre-K

NEW CURRICULUM FOR THIS CLASS EVERY SESSION!  This exciting class takes kids on a journey through the wonderful world of literature.  Each week we will take an indepth look at a picture book and then incorporate a hands-on project related to that book.  Beginning reading and comprehension skills will be a part of this fun experiential calss.  Some literature we may study include Where the Wild Things Are, Shel Silverstein's Poetry and The Hungray Caterpillar.
